Lovely staff, fantastic dinner recommendations, nice and friendly atmosphere. Homemade and delicious breakfast. Great views of nearby mountain valley. Easy access to trails and restaurants. Accommodating and helpful front desk. Convenient shuttle service and loaning of hiking poles. English-speaking staff. Great water pressure in showers.

I recently stayed at a family-owned hotel in a great location, halfway between the bus station and the trailhead. The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The place was kept clean and the continental breakfast even included scrambled eggs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
100% Recommend this hotel.

I wanted to visit Chorillo del Salto very much, so I chose to stay at El Alamo due to its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered private parking. , I really enjoyed being able to relax and enjoy a drink at the on-site bar.
Dirty room and bathroom. Unreliable staff.

• The single room at El Alamo was cozy and comfortable, with a wardrobe to keep my things organized. The heating ensured that I stayed warm throughout my stay. The private bathroom, complete with a bath and bidet, added a touch of luxury.
Personally, I found the showers in the private bathrooms a bit small. However, I understand that others might still find them perfectly adequate.

We had a warm, inviting stay at a little hotel in a prime location. The staff was super helpful, even went above and beyond by calling around for a laundromat. The rooms were clean and the shower pressure was fabulous. We also loved that the hotel had a good vibe and we could communicate in both Spanish and English. we had a great experience at this cozy hotel.

Great staff, very helpful in planning our adventures. The location was ideal, right in the middle of town and close to all the necessary facilities. We enjoyed the homemade bread at breakfast and the delicious smell that filled the lobby each night.
The water pressure was weak, especially in the afternoons after our hikes. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, which seemed to be a common issue in El Chalten.

The value for money at this hotel is excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms. The location is convenient, close to the bus terminal and tourist spots, and the staff treated me with kindness and professionalism.
The hotel breakfast menu could have had more nutritive options to fuel guests for their hikes.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible! The location was mind-blowing, right in the heart of town with everything I needed nearby. The room was super comfy and warm, PERFECT for relaxing after a long day of exploring. And let me tell you, the continental breakfast was jaw-dropping. Not only did they have all the usual deliciousness, but they even cooked up some scrambled eggs. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly, making me feel right at home. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our stay at El Alamo was fantastic! The multi-generational family who runs the property was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They allowed us to securely store our bags while we went backpacking on the Fitz Roy trail for five days. The rooms were comfortable with heated floors and beds. We also appreciated the availability of hot water throughout the day. The full breakfast spread served between 7:30 and 10:00 offered a great variety of options, including meat, cheese, coffee, tea. Additionally, the two sitting rooms provided breathtaking views of the town and mountains.
There was nothing I didn't like. 😊
